What is the maximum plate diameter that can fit in the HAVA R09?

The HAVA R09 can accommodate plates with a maximum diameter of 10.2 inches (26 cm) when placed vertically. When placed at an angle, it can hold 1-2 plates with a maximum diameter of 10.6 inches (27 cm). Please note that if the plates are not perfectly round, the number of plates that can be placed and the maximum diameter may vary.

How does the R09 dishwasher's water softener work?

The dishwasher is equipped with a water softener that traps magnesium and calcium ions, preventing limescale buildup and reducing watermarks on your dishware. To use the water softener, follow these steps:
1. Add Dishwasher Salt:

• When the Salt Shortage icon illuminates, you need to refill the dishwasher salt.
• Rotate the softener cap counterclockwise and remove it.
• Add no less than 250g (0.55 lb) and no more than 500g (1.1 lb) of dishwasher salt.
• If the inside of the softener is dry, fill it with cold water (DO NOT use hot or warm water).
• Do not overfill the compartment.
• Carefully stir the salt into the water, then securely tighten the cap.

2. Run an Empty Wash Cycle:

• After adding dishwasher salt, it is recommended to run a wash cycle with no dishware loaded to ensure proper functioning.
• The Salt Shortage icon may not turn off immediately, as the newly added salt takes time to dissolve.

Important Notes: Only use dishwasher-specific salt. DO NOT use industrial salt or kitchen salt. If storing the dishwasher for an extended period, manually remove any liquid from the softener to prevent residue buildup.

Why is the inside of my R09 Countertop Dishwasher damp?

Each HAVA countertop dishwasher undergoes testing and inspection before shipping. As a result, it's normal for your dishwasher to have some residual water inside. This does not indicate any quality issues. However, if you prefer, you can run a Self-Clean cycle with an empty load before your first use to clean the dishwasher.

Can I place the dishwasher under the sink instead of on the countertop?

The HAVA R09 Dishwasher can be used anywhere that is convenient. However, please ensure that the height between the sink and the drain hose is less than 17.7 inches (45 cm) for proper water drainage.

How do I set the delayed start function on the HAVA R09 Dishwasher?

To activate the delay start function, first select your desired wash cycle. Then, press the "Delay" button to set the timer. I like that there is a water softener compartment where I can put dishwasher salt in it because my tap water has hard water minerals. I've been using it a month and it gets the dishes clean. It drys dishes well. I don't have space on my counter so I bought a perfect size utility cart that I can roll it next to my sink and outlet. Does exactly what it says on the tin, its perfect, I can get so much stuff in there. The water inlet on the top can be a messy affair if your not careful. Maybe a plastic dishwasher funnel would be a good addition for the salt filler. Makes life easier.

Purchased for an apartment that doesn't have a dishwasher. Easy to use, it holds a lot of dishes. We like the layout of the rack. It cleans excellently! We have washed lightly soiled plates, pots and pans. We do use the salt feature for Hard Water. We figured it will help the dishwasher operate a longer life while getting our dishes sparkling clean. We appreciated the reviews stating how tall it is. While it would fit under the cabinet, we would not be able to fill it, so we have it on the open counter or on a kitchen cart. We use the pitcher to fill it and don't find it a bother at all. We always use the heating setting to dry so it will circulate air for 72 hours. We also purchased a washing machine door holder to hold the door open to keep air flow when not in use since it states how a small amount of water stays in the bottom by design. We have had 3 weeks and put it to many tests. We are very happy and think it is a great value for the money. The build feels durable while not being too heavy. It does not tip. The 2 drawbacks for us that were not dealbreakers but to be aware of are: In the silverware basket most of the holes are small, so it can hold more silverware that has smaller straight handles. The section cup to hold the discharge hose is a joke that holds nothing. We purchased a sponge holder that suctions to the sink and put the hose through there which holds it up out of the way very nicely.

So far after two weeks of use I found this dishwasher to be very useful and compact.The hook up to my sink is super easy for water and drainage hose.I'd rather use sink hookup than fill water tank, but that is handy also.I am a single male,so use of this washer is not everyday,but every 2 or 3 days. I do have "oversize" plates and bowls which pose a problem. But I've learned to use smaller plates. The stacking of dishes and location of the "prongs" for holding dishes in the rack seem very odd and scattered. If we all used the same dish set they used to design the rack, then it would be perfect. But thats a small nuance as the average person should be able to figure out how to stack their dishwasher. I give it 5 stars for now because it suits me just fine. But time will tell on longevity and durability in the future.

I love this thing. If you’re considering getting a countertop dishwasher do it. There are many features that make it special. I love that it doesn’t need to be connected to the faucet, that it has water softening capabilities, that it has multiple washing modes, and that it has a dryer as well. Only thing I don’t love is the organization of the rack, which I will take considering all of the pros of this thing.

Cleans just as thoroughly as a standard dishwasher, surprisingly lightweight (definitely suitable for camping, as long as you have electricity), and thanks to the built-in tank, it can even be used without a water hookup.
