What is the maximum plate diameter that can fit in the HAVA R09?

The HAVA R09 can accommodate plates with a maximum diameter of 10.2 inches (26 cm) when placed vertically. When placed at an angle, it can hold 1-2 plates with a maximum diameter of 10.6 inches (27 cm). Please note that if the plates are not perfectly round, the number of plates that can be placed and the maximum diameter may vary.

How does the R09 dishwasher's water softener work?

The dishwasher is equipped with a water softener that traps magnesium and calcium ions, preventing limescale buildup and reducing watermarks on your dishware. To use the water softener, follow these steps:
1. Add Dishwasher Salt:

• When the Salt Shortage icon illuminates, you need to refill the dishwasher salt.
• Rotate the softener cap counterclockwise and remove it.
• Add no less than 250g (0.55 lb) and no more than 500g (1.1 lb) of dishwasher salt.
• If the inside of the softener is dry, fill it with cold water (DO NOT use hot or warm water).
• Do not overfill the compartment.
• Carefully stir the salt into the water, then securely tighten the cap.

2. Run an Empty Wash Cycle:

• After adding dishwasher salt, it is recommended to run a wash cycle with no dishware loaded to ensure proper functioning.
• The Salt Shortage icon may not turn off immediately, as the newly added salt takes time to dissolve.

Important Notes: Only use dishwasher-specific salt. DO NOT use industrial salt or kitchen salt. If storing the dishwasher for an extended period, manually remove any liquid from the softener to prevent residue buildup.

How do I adjust the water softener setting based on my local water hardness?

Before first use, it is recommended to set the water softener according to your local water hardness level. Follow these steps to adjust the setting:

• Refer to the water hardness table in the user manual (page 13) to choose the correct setting for your area.
• Press and hold the Power and Child Lock buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds.
• Short press the Child Lock button to cycle through the available hardness settings.
• Short press the Power button to confirm your selected setting.

Notes: Choosing the correct water softener setting helps improve cleaning performance and reduces limescale buildup. Regularly check the Salt Shortage icon and refill the salt as needed to maintain the softener's functionality.

Will the R09 Countertop Dishwasher work without adding dishwasher salt?

Yes, the machine can operate normally without dishwasher salt. However, the salt shortage indicator will remain lit on the panel throughout the cycle, but this won’t affect the dishwasher’s cleaning performance. That said, if your local water hardness is high, we recommend adding dishwasher salt to the softener to prevent watermarks and calcium buildup, which can affect the machine’s lifespan.

Why is the inside of my R09 Countertop Dishwasher damp?

Each HAVA countertop dishwasher undergoes testing and inspection before shipping. As a result, it's normal for your dishwasher to have some residual water inside. This does not indicate any quality issues. However, if you prefer, you can run a Self-Clean cycle with an empty load before your first use to clean the dishwasher.

Can I place the dishwasher under the sink instead of on the countertop?

The HAVA R09 Dishwasher can be used anywhere that is convenient. However, please ensure that the height between the sink and the drain hose is less than 17.7 inches (45 cm) for proper water drainage.

How do I set the delayed start function on the HAVA R09 Dishwasher?

To activate the delay start function, first select your desired wash cycle. Then, press the "Delay" button to set the timer. Each time you press the "Delay" button, the delay time will increase, allowing you to choose a delay between 1 and 18 hours. Once you've selected your preferred delay, press the "Start/Pause" button to begin the countdown. The wash cycle will start automatically after the selected delay time has passed. Just ordered the RO9 unit and have only used it once, but really like it. The only things I would change is the drying time (I use the quick wash cycle) always will bc my dishes are almost clean when I put them in, but I wish there was a way to air dry (I turn it off after the cycle) because in the summer if you don’t want the heat going for an hour and it’s more economical to have a no heat mode just let it air dry another thing there should be a window where you can see the water level because in the quick wash I’m not sure how much water is left in the tank, the three pitchers it takes is much more water than I would use to hand wash, so that’s something to think of if you pay for water. Also I had to air out the plastic rack for days outside bc it has a strong plastic smell. But this is perfect for a small kitchen. Maybe make a black model as well.

Took me a couple tries to find the best place to put it in my small space. Once I did however, it has been a lifesaver. I can't fit everything in there. But being able to put most things in it means it's that much easier to hand wash the few items that are too big or only hand washable. The multiple settings are great. I mostly have used the Eco setting, to keep my apartment cooler (it tends very hot). But even the other modes didn't produce a ton of warmth. It's very quiet, mostly I just hear the water itself, not the motor etc. It was worth the cost, and has already basically paid for itself in the couple weeks I've had it really up and running. It's also easy to clean the outside, uses a small amount of detergent, and cleans really well even on the quick setting! Highly recommend!

I was hesitant to find the right dishwasher that could fit in my small kitchen and would thoroughly wash my dishes. I have been washing dishes by hand for more than 4 years now. I got so sick of trying to keep up with hand washing dishes and if I didn't wash them in time the sink would start to stink and it just was not a fun time. After finding this dishwasher my life has changed! I can throw a decent amount of dishes in and use either the speed cycle or normal cycle and will have clean dishes in a half an hour or little more. It does all of the work and drains into my sink perfectly. Great investment! I highly recommend this product if you're struggling with hand washing dishes as I was!
